We work closely with our REM-certified partner, Kremke Soul Wool, to source our mohair yarn. As a small business, we’re not yet able to obtain certification ourselves, but through our partnership, we ensure that our mohair yarn is responsibly produced, comes from excellent animal husbandry, and undergoes strict quality checks. In this way, we make sure the animals are cared for in the best way possible. Most importantly, it guarantees that they are raised in a species-appropriate manner and gently shorn, aligning with our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices<3
Made for us in South Africa, this yarn is truly a dream! The colors have been carefully selected to complement the shades of the recycled cotton yarns, making it an ideal choice for various projects. It also works wonderfully as a trace yarn.
Airing instead of washing is always a good idea. Materials like mohair and cotton are naturally self-cleaning. Hand-washing is the gentler option and the one we recommend. Dry garments flat and always in the shade. Do not tumble dry or wring your beautiful pieces <3
