Say hi to my newest baby; the BY BELINA Flower Zip Jacket <3
My dream oversized but still cropped zip jacket - made from our BY BELINA silky mohair and with our signature Flower Pattern!
I designed this pattern to be super adjustable to your own body and the fit you love while you're crocheting. You can also choose your body and sleeve sizes separately, make it cropped or longer, fitted or extra oversized and flowy - and simply adjust it on as you go!
The PDF includes a little Size Reference Chart, the BY BELINA Flower Pattern Chart, step-by-step written instructions, drawings and pictures to guide you through making your own Flower Zip Jacket from start to finish.
SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate — but if you’re already familiar with the BY BELINA Flower Pattern, the jacket itself should be pretty easy to follow <3
The Flower Pattern Chart is included in this PDF. If you’re not familiar with reading crochet charts yet or this is your first time making the Flower Pattern, I recommend getting the separate BY BELINA Flower Pattern PDF as well. It includes much more detailed written instructions and a step-by-step explanation of how to read and crochet the chart.
YARN
For a fit similar to my sample jacket, I recommend 11-12 balls of BY BELINA Silky Mohair Yarn (25 g / 210 m each), holding 3 strands together throughout.
I crocheted my sample using Body Panel Size 02 + Sleeve Size 05, including the waistband, collar and sleeve cuffs.
Want a lighter, more sheer version? You can also crochet the jacket holding 2 strands together, which will use approximately ⅔ of the yarn amount. Please keep in mind that this creates a noticeably thinner and more transparent fabric. The original jacket was designed and tested using 3 strands, so the finished jacket — especially around the zipper — may sit differently.
